Holding your babyHolding your baby close to you is a lovely feeling for a new mum. But if you’re concerned that you’re not doing it the ‘right’ way, don’t worry – you’re not alone. Lots of mums have similar worries. Once you’ve learnt a simple way to pick up and cradle your baby, it’ll become second nature, and both you and your baby will find cuddling up together the most enjoyable thing to do!
Picking your baby upThe most important thing to remember when picking up or holding your baby is to always support their head. Babies have very weak neck and back muscles, so they need a little help carrying that heavy head of theirs.
